by turns dominate the local
|The Writer finds herself with the
task to permanently catalog what goes
wrong, writing a renga-style error log
that appears as caption above everyone's
heads on the big screens and is
composed on the fly, possibly
inspired by a (wrongful?) move by
the crew, or a random announce-
ment about the weather...
|The Finder takes care of all
the dead tech and dumped files
while searching for something
he desperately needs; his search
frames the course of the show.
He defends his lair from
intruders; and eventually finds
solace which may or may not
help the system.
|The MouseCursor is used to her
routine that makes interaction and
communication possible within the
system. The situation gets
complicated, when tools become
doubled and a "copy" of
herself throws a monkey
ranch into the application...
|The AppDaemons - normally a helpful
bunch, and necessary for a smooth
operation of the software -
eventually fail in their task, as
they get overwhelmed by increasing
activity in the system which weakens
their "performance", while being forced to more recharge breaks...
|The MouseDaemon appears in the
system out of the blue, assisting
the MouseCursor in her tasks. As the
piece progresses his disguise no
longer protects him - he shows signs
of distraction, somehow letting
malware get into the system.
Maybe the virus was already inside,
opening the door for the MouseDaemon?
|LocationProperties, a non-human
performer, controls the physical
space, blending the incoming weather
data streams of thirty different
cities in ways that shift the mood
of the performance from one moment
to the next, constantly changing the
lights, visual displays, and sounds.
